As part of the design team for Planned Parenthood New York’s new, state-of-the-art reproductive health and education center in Queens, New York, C&VE designed a complete signage system, including a welcome wall, murals, and donor recognition system. This new 14,000 square-foot facility is PPNYC’s first full-service facility in the borough of Queens, New York. The interior architecture, by Stephen Yablon Architects, and graphics work together to establish a calm, reassuring, and safe atmosphere.
The murals are a composition of disks of various sizes and display words pulled from Planned Parenthood’s mission statement translated into eleven languages. There are over 140 languages spoken in Queens! The donor recognition program applies the visual language of the signage and murals to numerous disks throughout the facility.
