Lights, music, action! Marcus Garvey Park in New York City is a jewel in the crown of New York’s extensive park system. The delightful new amphitheater is named after renowned composer Richard Rodgers of the Rodgers and Hammerstein songwriting duo. C&VE’s simple solution for the identification signs is derived from musical bars, the rise and fall of musical notes, and ebb and flow of melody.

Additionally, the design makes full use of limited resources: the four segments of each sign were created from one standard 4’ x 8’ aluminum sheet resulting in very little waste.
